Requests you can make about your information

You can ask an organisation whether it holds information about you. You can ask for access to that information, ask for an inaccurate record to be corrected, or ask how the information is used. Some rights and deletion requests are limited by legal exceptions and by record-keeping duties, so a refusal is not automatically wrong — but it should be explained. Name the organisation and the information involved. Describe the request or the correction clearly, and say how you would like to receive the answer. Ask for the relevant form, and for a secure way to verify who you are.

Preparing a focused enquiry

  • The organisation and the information involved.
  • A clear description of the request or correction.
  • How you would like to receive a response.
  • A request for the relevant form and a secure identity-verification route.

Do not attach your ID, a bank statement or a full credit report to a first, unverified email. If the record you want corrected is at a credit bureau, use the bureau’s own dispute process.

Contact information

Send requests to compliance@lendumi.co.za, for the attention of the Information Officer. Viewing this page does not submit a request.

Records held by our lending partner

An application made through the “Continue to partner” button is held by that partner, not by this website. Send access or correction requests about it to the partner, using the contact in its privacy notice.

Where is the official guidance?

Use the Information Regulator’s POPIA resources for forms and privacy guidance. Requests for access to records may instead follow PAIA; the access-to-information guide points to those forms.
